Stewards Report extract : CARIAD (B. El-Issa) began awkwardly and shifted out, making contact with the hind quarters of TYCOON TATTOO (M. Hellyer).
MR NAPPY (K. Fuji) jumped away awkwardly and lost ground.
CARDIO (M. Palmer) commenced to hang out near the 800m and did so for the remainder of the event, placing its rider at a disadvantage.

DAYTIME DAZZLER (S. Seamer) and TEHUTI (P. Hammersley) made contact on jumping away. DAYTIME DAZZLER then shifted out and made contact with the hind quarters of MIDNIGHT MINX (G. Colless), turning that horse inwards, which resulted in DAYTIME DAZZLER and TEHUTI (P. Hammersley) being tightened between MIDNIGHT MINX and DANISH WHISKEY. In this incident, TEHUTI lost its position.
YOU'RE SERIOUS (J. Byrne) commenced to overrace approaching the first turn and had to be restrained. WONDERFUL YOU (D. Browne), which was following, had to be steadied off heels as a consequence.
PLAYTIME (M. Cahill) and DANISH WHISKEY (B. Stewart) also commenced to overrace for a short distance at the same stage.

Stewards sought an explanation from S. Galloway regarding the disappointing performance of I'M THE ONE. He stated that from the difficult barrier he was forced to race 3 wide without cover and believed that as a result of this I'M THE ONE raced greenly, adding that the horse was not comfortable on the rain affected track. A post-race veterinary examination of I'M THE ONE failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
G. Colless, rider of MIDNIGHT MINX, which performed below expectations, advised stewards that when he attempted to position the horse behnd I'M THE ONE during the middle stages to obtain cover it commenced to overrace and passing the 600m when placed under pressure, MIDNIGHT MINX accelerated for a short distance and then commenced to tire. He added that, in his opinion, the filly failed to stretch out out on the rain affected surface. A post-race veterinary examination of MIDNIGHT MINX failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.

Stewards Report extract : Stewards acceded to a request from trainer Brian Smith to lift the heavy track ban on RAEBURN after he made application to scratch the horse following a downgrading of the track on 4 December at Eagle Farm.
The start of this race was delayed when CHE CASINO became fractious in the barrier stalls. CHE CASINO was withdrawn from the barriers, and subsequently declared a late scratching at 1.41 pm on veterinary advice. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised that he would be required to provide 2 barrier certificates for CHE CASINO prior to its next race start.
Near the 600m, PATMOSS (N. Thomas) attempted to shift out in an endeavour to improve around the heels of YIELD CURVE (L. Cassidy) but was unable to do so when RAEBURN (S. Galloway) held its racing lne to the outside of PATMOSS.
C. McIver, rider of HOPESON, dropped his whip near the 200m.
C. Munce, rider of DRUMSHAMBO, was fined $100 for using his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
S. Galloway, rider of RAEBURN, was fined $100 for using his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m.
A post-race veterinary examination of BUSKER revealed the gelding to be lame in the off foreleg. Trainer J. Dawes was advised that he must provide a veterinary clearance for BUSKER prior to its next race start.

Colless), resulting in that horse having to be checked. R. Wiggins was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 7 meetings, to commence at midnight, 1 January and to expire at midnight, 7 January 2011.
S. Seamer, rider of ADEBISI, reported that the gelding had a tendency to overrace down the back straight. A post-race veterinary examination of ADEBISI revealed the colt had pulled up distressed. Trainer D. Forster advised that she intended so spell the horse.

Stewards Report extract : The explanation tendered by trainer G. Yorke for failing to declare a rider for RARE DIAMOND by the prescribed time was accepted.
RIGHTSON (S. Scriven) raced wide until assuming the position outside the leader near the 1000m.
Rounding the home turn, JAZZ HEART (C. Munce) shifted out around the heels of TAGUS (J. Byrne) to improve and in doing so made contact with ESKIMO DAN (M. Cahill) on several occasions.
Near the 300m, RIGHTSON (S. Scriven), which was tiring, was momentarily tightened for room between RARE DIAMOND (M. Palmer) and LISTEN SON (L. Cassidy), both of which shifted ground slightly.
ESKIMO DAN (M. Cahill) raced wide throughout.
Stewards sought an explanation from L. Cassidy regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of LISTEN SON. L. Cassidy stated that approaching the first turn he made a decision to gain cover on the back of FEMINA FASHION as LISTEN SON had shown a tendency to overrace when racing without cover. He added that when the pace slowed down the back staight, LISTEN SON commenced to overrace and he was forced to progress outwards to a 3-wide position around FEMINA FASHION in the middle stages. L. Cassidy added that whilst LISTEN SON had to endure a difficult run during the race, he was of the opinion that the horse failed to handle the prevailing track conditions and this led to LISTEN SON compounding badly over the concluding stages. Trainer T. Gollan agreed with L. Cassidy in observing that LISTEN SON did not secure the run he would have liked during the race, however was of the opinion that the gelding did not handle the prevailing track conditions. He added that he would now spell LISTEN SON in preparation for the Winter Carnival.
A post-race veterinary examination of RIGHTSON, which finished a distance last, failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. Stewards intend to question trainer B. Baldwin regarding the performance of RIGHTSON at a later date.

B. El-Issa reported that EDDIE RAPIDO overraced at the heels of TELESTAH LA VISTAH during the middle stages, and as there was a distinct lack of speed in the race, he chose to progress forward around TELESTAH LA VISTAH to the position outside the leader.
