Stewards Report Extract : I LOVE TOBOUGGIE (R. Goltz) and FROM THE SHADOWS (C. Priest) were both slow to begin.
AREA FIFTYONE (J. Wood) was inconvenienced approaching the 700m when caught behind the tiring CORAL FLIGHT (J. Kehoe).
A post-race veterinary examination of CORAL FLIGHT, which tired badly over the final 800m of the event, resulting in the horse being uncompetitive, revealed no abnormalities. Trainer M. Brosnan was advised that the horse must trial to the satisfaction of stewards or show competitiveness on the country circuit before again racing at TAB meetings.

Stewards Report Extract : DECLIKS (M. Hellyer) was inspected by the veterinary surgeon prior to the race after trainer K. Kemp reported that the horse slipped over in the float en route to the course.
UNDERTHEBONNET (J. Wood) stood flat-footed at the start, losing valuable ground. Trainer S. Ryan was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding regarding its barrier manners.
BACK TO ABILENE (P. Schmidt) was slow to begin.
KING BAROO (B. Wallace) overraced badly and threw its head in the air when racing at the heels of YOMREENA (J. Kropp) approaching the 1300m.
HAWKY (P. Hammersley) and DECLIKS also overraced in the early stages.
Leaving the 900m KING BAROO shifted out and away from the heels of the tiring YOMREENA.
BACK TO ABILENE was held up for clear running rounding the home turn.
Connections of YOMREENA, which tired badly to finish a considerable distance from the remainder of the field, were advised that the mare was ineligible to start at TAB meetings until stewards are satisfied that the horse can perform to the desired standard.

OFF MY ROCKER had difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn and leaving the 200m, when endeavouring to obtain clear running, shifted out and brushed DOUBLE GLOW.
When questioned regarding the performance of CAPITOL HILL, S. Seamer said he was disappointed with the performance of the horse as it failed to respond when placed under pressure on the home turn. Trainer D. Forster was of the opinion that the horse may not have appreciated the quick back-up from its last run on 18 March, combined with the impost of 59kg, however Ms Forster did advise it would be the intention to give the horse a freshen up. Stewards noted the comments.
