Stewards Report extract : MIRIAM LOUISA (J. Bowditch), OPUS BEELE (J. Taylor) and STEPHANA (M. Heagney) were all tightened for room at the start between MISS UNI (B. Richardson) and QUEEN ROSE (L. Cassidy), which shifted out. A short distance later, QUEEN ROSE had to be steadied off the heels of KAMLOOP MAGIC (P. Schmidt).

SEVEN WONDERS (B. El-Issa) and VANITY ACT (S. Bogenhuber) made contact on jumping away and a short distance later, VANITY ACT had to be steadied from the heels of SKALATO GREY (K. Ashton), which began awkwardly and shifted out.
Near the 700m, MISTER SAMBA (S. Scriven) shifted out in order to improve and in doing so forced GROUNDSHAKER and GREY MAMBO (K. Forrester) wider on the track.
GREY MAMBO raced wide for the majority of the event.
Jockey B. El-Issa and trainer P. Nolan were afforded the opportunity to explain the performance of SEVEN WONDERS. B. El-Issa stated that after being tightened at the start, SEVEN WONDERS had to be hard ridden as it appeared to lose interest in the early stages of the race. He added that the horse would take benefit from today's race, adding that it may be better suited over a longer distance. Mr Nolan confirmed that the horse had returned to racing from a lengthy lay off and would derive benefit from today's race.

Stewards Report extract : BLOODHOUND (S. Scriven), WITH ELEGANCE (K. Sawyers) and WILD PROMISES (J. Letherby) were all slow to begin.
LEICA PULSE (P. Wolfgram) commenced to race ungenerously near the 1400m.
Stewards questioned apprentice Miss M. O'Brien in relation to the her riding of STREET SIGN over the final 300m, in particular after obtaining clear running inside of BLOODHOUND, stewards were concerned with her lack of vigour. Miss O'Brien explained that, in her opinion, the horse was travelling well within itself and was responding to her riding. Stewards were of the belief that Miss O'Brien's standard of riding on this occasion was not up to the required standard for TAB meetings, and as such directed that Miss O'Brien undergo further training at Apprentice School to improve the vigour on her mounts over the concluding stages and to ensure she is balanced when riding them out to the finish.
